Storage ideas that will make your life easier

Sometimes we need a little extra storage to help declutter the house. From eliminating shoes in the entryway, cleaning up kids (or dogs) toys, to separating and organising sheet sets. I’m going to share some options that will save you the hassle of finding things and make your life easier.

My favourite kind of storage for kids toys and extra blankets is storage boxes. I have three storage boxes in my house. These kinds of boxes come in varying sizes. The great thing about this one from Mocka (other than the neutral colour palette) is it’s sizing for smaller spaces. Measuring 710mm wide, this box is enough to be practical without being a full size furniture piece. It also doubles up as a seat for little ones, just be sure to scotch guard the seat for added protection against little hands.

Available in black and white, these bins are super handy for the garden, but also the laundry or butlers pantry. Put your gardening gloves, secateurs and budding tape in there to keep everything together when it’s time to get back into the garden again. The handle makes it super easy to cart the bucket around the yard.

Perfect for kids rooms, this basket adds a pop of colour and will hold enough toys to keep the floor clear. The great thing about these baskets too is the fact they’re easy to move around. They’re tightly woven meaning toys won’t easily get stuck. Also available in pink.

When I discovered these bands from Adairs, I was in love. Something so simple that creates so much impact. No more mismatched sheets, wondering if that set you never use is a king or a queen. I had to share these with you as they’re a must have for every household.

There are so many storage options available these days, yet when it’s time to look, it can be quite tricky to find the right thing. I hope this helps point you in the right direction!

Until next time x
